Finally, I decided to take off the cozies and get dressed for Fashion Friday. You should feel special. As you know I’ve been on my death bed with the summer cold, but for you, Fashion Friday will. not. suffer.
I promised to show you some of my thrift store finds, so here are just a few. I’m saving the rest for another post.
First off we have the black baby doll dress. {Which I will most likely wear with jeans.}
The belt is also from my thrift store, $2.
The shoes are from TJ Maxx. 16 bucks. I wanted these in the Louboutins, but every pair I got fit weird, so I had to send them all back. But more than anything, I loved the look, not so much the name on them, so I was so excited when I saw them in Washington!!!
The black fringe purse, 20 bucks, is also from TJ Maxx. I freaking love.
Next up is the vintage polka dot dress:
I took the belt off and used it for a headband, then wore a red belt from an old dress instead.
The shoes are from Ross, Madden Girl, $20.
Finally, my casual look:
I love this shirt, it’s so cozy and cute. Just $3 from my thrift store.
The belt is so old I can’t even remember where I got it or how much it was.
My purse and shoes, also from a thrift store…I lysol the heck out of shoes for a month before I wear them. I guess I feel the need to share that disclaimer so I’m not feeling too gross. {Don’t judge me! We’re in a recession!!!}
And that about wraps up my Fashion Friday.

I have never shopped at a thrift store before (is that weird? is it even weirder to say I’m sort of intimidated to try it?) but this totally makes me want to give it a try. I love it all but the casual outfit is my favorite, especially the shirt. It’s so girly and pretty, but you can tell it’s really comfortable too. Win!

The belt as headband and different belt works great. It makes a more blah dress into something special. Inspired and I love it… but I would never have thought of it myself!
Wow- I totally wish you could shop the thrift racks with me. I’ve looked once or twice but always think “Where do theses ladies find these killer finds?!” Obviously not where I’m looking….or I’m not looking with the right vision, I don’t know. But I love your finds.
And yes- the Origins sleep spray works. It works great… I love it. Supposedly it works so well they wont let you spray it on you in the store for liability purposes. I don’t know if it works that well- so well that it would make you crash out while shopping…. but it’s great, I love it.
That first one is adorable and you don’t need to wear jeans with a pair of legs like that!
Summer you always wow me with you personal style! I have never seen anyone dress as wonderfuly as you and still be such a nice person! I love thrift store shopping too but I never seem to find any of the cute things that you have, well in my size anyways.
