Hey Y’all! It’s Lacey from Lacey in Love! I’m so happy to be posting here at Le Musings of Moi today! In fact, I’d like to go ahead and declare it “Le Musings of Lacey” for the next 24 hours… because I CAN. How ya’ like them apples?

In all seriousness, I’m completely flattered to be here. Summer emailed me sometime last week and was all, “Lacey, I’d like to declare my love for you to the (blog)world by having you post on my blog one day next week.” & I’m all, “Ohmyfreakinggoodness, really? Of course, lady! You’re my number one, duh.” And then we cyber hugged(ever notice how by putting the word ‘cyber’ in front of basically any verb, it seems dirty?)… it was touching. A tear jerker, if you will.
Sooooo here I am, people!

I’ve been trying to think of a really grand topic for a week now & decided nothing says “Summer” like a little shopping post, right? & Do you know the only thing better than a plain ol’ shopping post? An ETSY shopping post, of course! Gotta support handmade, my lovies!

Since Fall is in full effect, I think now is a good time to start thinking about Christmas shopping. I know, I know… some of you like to wait until December. To you, I say… what in the world are you waiting for? Don’t let it sneak up on you! Do you know what is more exciting than waking up at 4am on Black Friday, slapping on layers of cold weather gear, dealing with crowds and leaving the mall feeling like you just got slapped upside the head? Waking up at 9am on Black Friday, walking your happy butt to the couch and plopping down in front of the TV to watch It’s a Wonderful Life and a bevy of other Christmas movies that TBS can’t wait to air while gorging yourself on leftover pie.(Don’t judge me…you know that sounds awesome!) & How will you be able to do that, you ask? START NOW, duh. Then after you wake up out of your pie coma, you can dig through your bag, closet, attic… what have you, of Christmas gifts and rejoice in the fact that you have very little left to buy! Know why else it’s fab? You don’t feel completely broke come Christmas!

hello friends old and new of le musings!!!

if you don’t know me…

well maybe ya.should…

as i run things over at oofa luffa le…

a little {crazy} place i like to call home…

i was shockedandawed when the gorgeous
and fashionally auhmazing ms.summer
asked me to keep her company this monday…

this folks is my very first guest post and since the pay
polite request was right i was quick to say um.YES!!!

but since so often this place is a bevy of fashion eye candy…

well i thought i would turn things upside down

here a bit on this funday.monday and give you a

glimpse of some absolute fashion foul.ups…

so i’d like to welcome y’all to…

i am definitely a fan of loving family photos…
however i am also a fan getting dressed for them…

Today was my beloved hair appointment, and I am totally in love with my new girl. We’ve now seen each other three times, so I think it’s getting serious. I’m pretty sure I’m ready to commit.

Anyway, here’s my before shot from the dressing room where I had to change into my smock.

Today I had the privilege of putting on a baby shower for one of my very bestest friends, Libby. I mean, besides being her BFF, her unborn son is also betrothed to Chloe, so it’s only fitting that a future mother-in-law host the shower. Right?

So, the colors were green and blue, and taking a cue from another one of my girlfriends, I decided to color coordinate with the shower.

I bought this dress almost 4 years ago, and I think I’ve only worn it once. I got it from The Closet for around $20 and then once I washed it, I realized in order to wear it again I’d have to iron the hem. And the thing is I have this insane allergy to the iron. I think it came from when I was a teenager and I used to iron peoples clothes around the neighborhood for extra spending money. I must have got burned out, because ironing I do no longer. Well, except for today. For the special occasion of Libby’s shower, I took a chance on my life, and ironed away. I did start to feel a bit of hives, but whatever, it was worth it. I mean, it’s cute, right?

Two are vintage chains from my thrift store, and the one with the clear beads was made for me by my girlfriend, Sarah.
