i’ve got questions, you’ve got answers

It’s been THE longest 4 day week ever.
I swear, every day I’ve asked Jimmy if it was Friday yet.
And hallelujah!
It finally IS Friday, and with that great news I’m also happy to report I can actually stand up straight without any pain!
I’m actually surprised at how quickly I seem to recovering from surgery and all the ick I went through last week…and while the week seemed long, it’s crazy to think this time last week I was in the emergency room being loaded up with all kinds of drugs that didn’t even come close to touching the pain I felt.
{yes, that may have been the longest run on sentence ever.  i blame the drug withdrawals.}
Whew.
Glad that’s behind me.
So, while I enjoy my last day of rest (resting my brain as well, hence the not blogging this week), I thought I’d do a little something that makes my heart happy…
My favorite posts ever are the ones where I ask YOU the questions, and have you leave the answers in the comments…
that way we may ALL benefit from your knowledge.

  5. first off, let me just say that I am so very very glad to hear that you are recovering and doing well. I was praying for you! 🙂

ok, on to the questions, or rather, my answers. 🙂

    2. My fav kids book is How Much Do You Love Me. makes me cry, so sweet!

    3. i try not to commit to doing a party for each kid each year, I have three of them so it’s not very cost effective to do parties every year. so, I try to stick with the rule of a party every other year. but a couple things I like to do on their birthdays is to have balloons all over the floor for when they wake up in the morning. Usually the balloons are all over the living room or whatever main room we have at the time. The kids LOVE it! I also try to make a curtain to hang in a main entry/thoroughfare that has a birthday message (ie. happy birthday mae!). the curtain is made out of a cheapy plastic table cloth, write a message on it, then cut 2″ strips from bottom to about 3″ from the top.

    10. Words With Friends. basically, it’s Scrabble. the best part…..it’s FREE! (Bethany Zab and I are playing – so fun!)

    Happy recovery! 🙂

  8. 1. Polyvore, nourishedkitchen.com, lifeasaplate.com, damnyouautocorrect.com and Facebook.

    2. I Love You Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak. It reminds me that I really do love my kids no matter what, and it reminds me that God loves me the same (but bigger) way.

    3. Every year we give them a classic hardcover for them to (hopefully) read when they are older- last year Sam got The Chronicles of Narnia and Ellie got Anne of Green Gables. Oh Gilbert Blythe. Swoon.

    4. When it snows we make homemade sugared doughnuts.

    5. Popcorn with coconut oil, garlic powder, sea salt and nutritional yeast.

    6. I’ve been trying the Suki line and I like it. But I’m still looking for a really good peel that will fade my acne scars and get rid of whiteheads without being full of harmful ingredients.

    7. Cod liver oil, apple cider vinegar and sleep.

    8. I’m a fan of recipes and how-to style guides… like How To Wear the Latest Trends When You’re 5-Foot-One-and-a-Half and Bottom Heavy. And Broke.

    9. I like the name!

    10. I used to have an iPhone and I used to have a lot of favorite apps but then my husband took it away and replaced it with a Google Droid. I actually went through iPhone withdrawals and we had the biggest fight of our married life. Over a phone. I’m better now and I’m ok with the Droid but the iPhone will always be my first love.
