Why There Was No Blog Post Yesterday:
{i like to call these videos…BIRTH CONTROL!}
Going on two weeks of that ish.
To bed they went…and rather than wine or chocolate, I found comfort in the three tums I consumed because who knew two kids could cause heartburn**?!?
Like I said, be careful what you wish for when asking God for some good blogging material.
Or…don’t shop at Walmart.
Or….maybe I should have never facebooked that everyone was asleep by 7:30 the night before.
What a year of life lessons this is turning out to be….
=)

**EDITED TO ADD**
So I wrote this last night around midnight (about my day yesterday) while still working through the “heartburn.”
That heartburn?
Turned out to be a gallbladder attack that landed me in the emergency room at 3 am.
Turns out I have MULTIPLE gall stones….and will likely need surgery.
But at least I’m home now, and today will be better, because the Vicodin promises so. =)
And you know, God works in mysterious ways…
He must have known that I needed a break, and what better than a nice nap during surgery and a hospital stay that includes nurses and drugs?
This cracks me up!! If only because I’ve been there. I thought I’d just run to Wal-mart really quick and no one would see me…. never anticipating my 2 year old would have an EPIC meltdown in the produce section. I about died.
Oh man… what a freaking day, Sum. Sorry to hear about the gall stones… I mean heartburn, MAYBE, but who knew 2 kids could give you gall stones? 😉
Oh no! Sorry that you receive this kind of blogging material. I hate hate hate hospitals, but if you need that wine and chocolate smuggled in just let me know 😉 No one would ever suspect me.
Wow! That is quite a day! I think I will have to share a link to this post on my blog!
When I hear a child screaming, my ovaries shutter and shut down 🙂 Lol
PS- the nurse in me says to make sure you have a good support system in place for the week after surgery. It is possible that it will be laprascopic and out patient- but you won’t be able to or in the mood to do heavy lifting for awhile 🙂
is Taylor saying I’m gonna lose it?? That’s what I got and I died. He must hear that from mom a lot 😉 Sorry to hear about your midnight run to the ER. No fun!! feel better <3
Oh, you poor thing! I totally understand the store tantrums and am a “borrower” myself. Whatever Coops little heart desires can go in that cart as long as we are there and he’s quiet!
Yikes at the gall stones! They say that is the closest pain to childbirth…VICODIN IT UP.
We too had a MAJOR meltdown today in public. A woman gave me the stink eye to which I promptly replied, “Yep, that’s how we roll!”
Sorry to hear about the gall stones 🙁 Get to feeling better!
Oh no! Last feb I had horrid pain, went to the ER, and they said that pregnant women can get bad heartburn. I was pretty sure it was something else. The attacks continued until after I had tiny #3 and finally in Oct, I went to the dr, with no insurance (of course) and they did some tests and said my liver was showing some bad signs. Lo and behold the whole time i was having gall stones. They had piled up and were blocking my liver. Lucky I went in, because I was beginning to turn yellow from the blockage. next day went in and took that sucker out. You will feel soooo much better! Lots of luck!
Sorry about your day!! I borrow stuff off the shelves too but its always a scene when I have to put them back because my son does not like getting NO for an answer…even though I initially tell him we are NOT buying it. And LOL to the pull up video….my son has had the same melt downs…it’s out of control!
Sorry about the gall stones! Hopefully you will feel much better afterwards!!!
I always feel so bad for mom’s when there kids do that in a store….but then when they cuss at the kid or spank them in front of everyone – then that’s really “People of Walmart” just sayin 😉
I haven’t been there as a mother but I’ve been there myself, so tired and frustrated that I will freak out on my closest people (My boyfriend, parents, and sisters). Aye yai yai. I’m in trouble when I do have kids. Maybe I’ll get lucky due to genetics and they’ll be like the quieter people in my family.
Oh my…I can so relate. My son is 20 months and loves to throw tantrums in stores.
So sorry about the gall stones! Hope that you are able to get them taken care of.
Oh, lady. You need a stiff drink and a nap like whoa. As for the Birth Control videos? Totally effective. I think my lady parts spoke to me while reading this and said “Never. Again.”
well, as a granny I can say that I have been there and done that many times. with my own three daughters and NOW with my 2 1/2 year old grandson! We had a family reunion this past weekend and he decided to act like a screaming/not sharing/throwing his tractor kind of little guy in front of family who only get together every THREE years!!! Yeah, this granny was a bit sad that he didn’t show his sweet side. 🙁
Yep…gotta love what WalMart can do for you and your kids.
I was in WalMart…and by the way…my son is a puker!
In the middle of a temper tantrum…puked everywhere…all over paint, the cart, the aisle…and when I thought…surely this is enough!
Over comes an employee to tell me how horrible I am.
I promptly took my son out of the cart, striped his clothing off, wiped his face……looked at my then 11 year old daughter and said this is why you need to go to college so you dont have to clean up other peoples puke!
And we left.
