My sister and I are a lot alike in more ways than I could even begin to explain.
We talk the same, laugh the same, obsess the same.
Shop the same (most of the time by accident!), and obvy we dress the same.
We tend to be moody the same, and get quiet when we’re mad the same…
We run from drama the same. And I mean RUN.
Buh bye…see ya later.

Jimmy says we even wave our hands around the same…
not quite sure what he means by that.

We like, DIE, over the same tv shows,
although when it comes to movies….
nasomuch.
{wink, wink sista.}
Although…
I will give you Date Night.

We even share the same wedding anniversary…

But there’s another anniversary today…
one all of my sisters share….

And it’s the day our dad passed away from this life, and finally had the chance to spend eternity with Jesus.

And because I admired my sister and her husband (still do),
as well as my dad’s life…

{my daddy and me}

I wanted to fill this day with even more love.

…so a year later to the day,
Jimmy made me his wife.

This day is incredibly meaningful to me in so many ways.

It is today that I honor my sister and her husband.
I honor my dad, his life, his memory.
I honor my sisters: Heather, Malia, and Brittany…for being the best parts of dad,
the best parts of my family.
And I honor my husband for choosing me, and making me happier than I ever knew was possible.

More than anything,
I honor the Lord
For all of the blessings listed above.

Happy Anniversary.

  11. Happy (belated) Anniversary, my sweet Summer! In so many ways… What a truly special day.

I finally got my own post up and realized I had some serious blogging catch-up to do while I was at it. And of course, yours topped the list.

I’m so proud of you for the recent revelations you’ve been having with the blogging/life, etc. I know people are missing your daily offerings, but it sounds like you are at peace, which is most important!

Also, LOVED your post about looking at Chloe and seeing how perfect she is and comparing that to how God sees us. Made me quite teary thinking of how I see my sweet Maelee, too. In fact, Steve just tweeted this on Sun: “Worship @apostlesnyc this AM- sing “How He Loves Us,” look @ my babygirl, think God loves me as I love her. Realize He loves me more. Wow.”

    Miss you, babe!

  12. Happy Anniversary! What a beautiful post. Thank you sharing the pics. Such a good photo of all the sisters and the pic of you and your Dad is so sweet. I’m sure he’s smiling down on your right now. 😉

  13. Beautiful post! It is so important to thank God for all the people in our lives. In our tradition when someone passes, we say “may their memory be eternal”
