monday muse: home edition

I think most of us have a folder on our desktop with inspiration pictures for our homes….
I have that too,
as well as an actual binder that holds torn out pictures,
organized by room.
one day, one day…
My latest obsession begins and ends with mirrored furniture.
And in my dreamer world,
the kids would stay far from it all,
so there would never be fingerprints to clean off…

I think they call this style, Hollywood Regency.
And I say, yes please.

  1. I love mirrored pieces, so many times I’ve seen on HGTV all those DIY-mirror pieces but I’m too chicken to attempt it!

  2. Ohhhhh so purdy! I love that look..
And ummmmm I am going to apologize right now for my cattiness in my last comments… blah! Not sure what got into me 🙁 I was feeling some Summer-protectiveness apparently!!

    Happy Monday Love!

  3. I’d love a mirrored desk or vanity, but I don’t have a home for it! LOL

That entertainment center is gorgeous too; that whole room is my style.

  4. Love the second picture!!

  5. I threw all my “inspiration” away right at the start of long awaited renovation (17th century cascina, five years living in a “very not renovated” state, until we had the money to sort it all out, so I had time to collect lots of “inspiration”) because my inner style queen just couldn’t take into consideration the realities of living with the zoo, the man and the boy.

I’ll collect it all again for my final home, that nobody will be allowed in to unless they defur themselves and wipe their paws in OCD manner prior to entry. And that includes the man and the boy.

I love your pink room to bits.

  6. Love the vanity at the end, so adorable! I’m more into the shabby chic sort of stuff myself and I love antiques but everyone has their own style…idk what you would call mine really – maybe garage sale chic?!? lol

  7. I don’t think I could do all the mirrired pieces. It would feel to Twilight Zoneish to me.

    I dig that giraffe though!

  8. those wings as mirrors are just gorgeous! oh my goodness, so beautiful! hope you are doing well.

  9. the fourth photo!! OH MY GOSH THE FOURTH PHOTO!!! i need that…it’s so lovely!!!!

  10. I love it! Although, I agree that if we could do it without the kids fingertips…

  11. I could never! It’s gorgeous… YES! And I don’t have kids… but I’m still envisioning puppy nose marks all over EVERYTHING. I think I need therapy for all the fear this just struck into my heart, haha.

Why do all the best things in the world like children and dogs leave marks on glass?!?!?!

  12. I’m scared of mirrored furniture because of all the fingerprints. I don’t have kids and I still know it would be a mess from just me and the dogs. It’s pretty to look at though!

  13. i’ve seen lamps like that at tj maxx and marshalls home. it would be cheap and easy to recover the shade to match your home decor. lovely!

  14. ooh! nice! i haven’t really seen that trend before, but i love it. it looks very fancy shmancy, but in a good way 🙂

  15. That desk is the stuff dreams are made of lady!
