I feel like my life would be a waste if I didn’t make an impact.
An impact on my kids.
My husband.
My family.
My friends.
I think that’s why I write.
I know I’m not perfect, I am so far from it.
In fact, sometimes I feel like such an awful person.
My thoughts are not always nice.
Not always pure.
Not always right.
But when I’m honest and write them out,
someone is always there.
Relating.
Understanding.
Making me feel okay…
making me feel normal.
And while my mistakes and imperfections may not always be the impact I hope to make,
at least I know that I am not alone.
And you know you are not alone.
In being open,
In being honest,
In being vulnerable….
There is some sort of an impact made there.
And isn’t that what matters?

If you pretended to be anything other than imperfect we wouldn’t love you like we do. You make us all see that we CAN be ourselves, that we CAN love ourselves the way we are and I know that you inspire me to be a better person.
