What could I possibly have to offer Summer’s readers?
Well, let’s see. I can’t cook. I can’t sew.
I work full-time so I don’t homeschool my kids.
Although I consider myself fashionable, I wouldn’t put myself in Summer’s league.
What I am is a firefighter wife and mother of two living in the south.
I like to think I’m sarcastic, witty and somewhat entertaining.
I like vampires, shiny gadgets and celebrities.
Wait… That’s it! CELEBRITIES! I love celebrities.
I love it when they’re good. I love it when they’re bad.
I love their clothes, their attitudes and their lavish lifestyles.
Every week at Handbags & Handguns, I post a recap of the latest Hollywood news.
I call it The Talk of Tinseltown.
Several sources claim media outlets have pre-written obituaries for Lindsay Lohan in case her hard partying ways result in her untimely death. Police officers told TMZ she will die if she doesn’t get to rehab soon. Somebody needs to slap her parents. They could save her if they’d stop arguing through the media.
Speaking of rehab, Jesse James has entered a treatment facility for sex addiction. Jesse, haven’t you heard? Sex addiction is a fake disease. It’s pretty simple, really. Stop sleeping with women who aren’t your wife. The end.
Speaking of guys who get around, Tiger Woods paid off one of his. Rachel Uchitel reportedly received a $10 million payoff to stay away from the media. In the end, it didn’t matter. There were, what, nearly twenty other girls to spill the beans?
Another classic Goldie Hawn flick is being remade. Anna Faris is set to star in a new version of Private Benjamin which will be set in modern times with the current war as a backdrop. I can see Anna in the role, but think this is yet another film that doesn’t need to be remade. Who’s with me?
Author Stephenie Meyer will be releasing The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner which tells the story of a newborn vampire featured in Eclipse, the third installment of the best selling Twilight series. This isn’t exactly the book I was hoping for, but I’ll obviously read it a billion times.
Vanilla Ice will be releasing a new album entitled WTF. He said, “It’s called WTF for a reason, and you will understand that reason when you hear it. It has everything from techno to hip hop to country to acoustic. It will blow you away!” Techno, hip hop, country, and acoustic don’t go together. WTF is right.
Anna Paquin revealed she’s bisexual today in an online video for the Give A Damn Campaign which targets discrimination against the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. I tried to visit their website, but couldn’t get it to load. Straight guys across America are watching Anna’s clip over and over again while they picture her kissing a girl.
Ricky Martin is gay. Well, duh!

I think EVERY man who screws up now is gonna run his cheating ass into a rehab program & claim his disease made him do it. WHATEVER. Keep your pants on. Period. I don’t care how famous or rich you are. If you want to sleep with multiple women, dont’ get married. It hasn’t hurt George Clooney any.
I honestly think Ricky Martin was trying to just keep his name in the media. We all knew he was gay. If he was in a closet before, it had no door on it b/c we could all see this coming.
