im not one for propaganda movies

….but, I was curious about Food, Inc. so we decided to rent it tonight, against all of Jimmy’s protests.
And all I can say is, you should watch it and decide for yourself.

  1. Hmmm, I’ll add it to the list, but I’m warning you there are about 340 before it.

  2. i’ve been wanting to see this…c and i don’t eat a lot of fast food or beef for that matter, but we allow the ladies too…eek….maybe i need to watch this sooon! but i am afraid it will limit my already slim menu…but it’s better to be in the know right!

hope you’re having a lovely weekend hun!

  3. Hmmm. I think I might just do that…

  4. I haven’t heard of this… is it similar to the book Skinny Bitch? That talks about the importance of the vegan lifestyle and goes into great detail about dairy farms, chicken farms, beef… etc.

  5. what did you decide? is this about food and how it gets to our plates? i have avoided movies like that, including Al Gore’s environmental one. i try to avoid the negative, scary stuff that makes me want to crawl into a hole, or stop eating. take care.

  6. oh, BTW, we rented that Jeremy “Moobs” Piven car dealership movie last night. if y’all have thought about renting it, save your 4.99. take care.

  7. ive seen it. i only watched about half way through and just turned it off. i still eat meat but im more conscious about where my stuff is from.

  8. I almost got this the other day. We have tried to cut out a lot of crap from our diets. We haven’t eaten beef in a long time, only venison, and I try to use beans more often instead of meat. My kids’ poops have never been healthier.

  9. I’ve heard this movie is really good! I’ve been cutting back on fast food for the last year or so, I really only go to a few places that seem more healthy than others, Subway and Chick-fil-a but most of the popular chains I avoid if at all possible.

Isn’t there something about Chipotle in this movie too?

  10. I’m soooo glad someone else has seen this and is bringing it up! Sooooo crazy!!! My hubby put it on the other day, and now we’ve completely changed our eating to super healthy/grass fed/organic foods!

  11. I think I’ll pass. I like to only vaguely know where my dinner comes from. LOL

  12. Havent seen it, but I can imagine. Precisely why Hubs and I have dreams of farm livin. We have expanded our business plan to include orgaic beef (very small scale) along with the organic veggies. We actually just got some good news on that front, so things are rollin right along! Maybe someday you will see our logo somewhere, lol.

  13. hmm, i’ll have to check it out. i don’t really know that much about it.

  14. my sister saw it, said it was quite interesting & enlightening to say the least, Hey FASHIONJUNKEE site doesn’t work …

  15. I need to see this…I’m kinda scurred…is it like Skinny Bitch on crack?

  16. Popped in from SITS! I’ve heard so many things about this film…I’m curious but scared.

  17. insane. that’s all i gotta say about that. you will never look at food the same. ever.

  18. ohh I am totally planning on seeing this!! 🙂

  19. Afraid to b/c I really love meat occasionally and am feeling guilty about it already….

  20. Ok, and this is what I get for reading your posts out of chronological order. Scratch my question from that last post. 🙂
