going hard "core"

Core would mean Core from Weight Watchers. But, no, I’m not actually doing Weight Watchers.
I am though, taking a cue from the Core diet and doing something of the same just for this week, Mon – Fri. I think I may die, but what the heck. I think it will be good for me.
I have never in my life attempted something like this. So, it should be interesting.
Starting today, I will simply be eating lean protein, vegetables and fruit. It’s sort of a cleanse, but mostly to recover from all the insane amounts of chocolates I ate over the weekend. I need to clean up and start over.
I’m such a picky eater that I hope I can make it through. So, if anybody has any yummy recipies or ideas on what I should eat, I would love to hear them. Oh, you should also know I don’t cook. So, it has to be easy.
And I’m still a virgin with the blender, but I may whip that out this week to attempt a smoothie. Shoot, how do you even make a smoothie? Anyone, anyone?
Here goes…cheers to being healthy. Hope I’m happy as well.

  1. kraftfoods.com has TONS of great/easy recipes!

With smoothies.. youu can’t go wrong.. I use either regular yogurt or frozen yogurt, milk, and any fruit combo you can think of!! Plus the daughter loves them!

    Good Luck!

  2. I was thinking smoothie before I even read that you were considering it. Smoothies are so easy. I take a carton of yogurt (the small yoplait size), throw in some frozen fruit and a little bit of milk, and wa-la! You can even toss in a scoop of protein powder. But, the combinations are really endless. Just pick your favorite fruits and go to TOWN. There are lots of yummy smoothie recipes online, too. Just google it. I’m laughing because the comment verification word is “turdsted.”

  3. Hey! I was just clicking on your ads, and if you scroll through them, there’s a link for healthy smoothie recipes. AND, you can get a free sample of Quaker mini delights on the rice cake ad. Good ads today. 🙂

  4. Be sure you get all the right ingredients for the smoothie because I tried making one once and it tasted like, um, butt. it was gross.

Good luck on the cleanse/Core! you can TOTALLY do it. I recently had to go off all wheat/gluten and haven’t had ANY bread in over a month. NO BREAD! But I feel good and lost 10 pounds so…..the bread is still out for me!

  5. Good Luck!

  6. the week will be over before you know it and you will have more energy. it takes a bit of getting use to but the results are worth a little effort. i changed my eating habits last december doing pretty much what you are doing and i’ve lost about 35lbs so far. you really can feel a difference.
    good luck!

  7. Smoothies are delish. Good luck going hard cor, maybe I should try it too.

  8. You sound like me! Every once in a while I get on these cleansing kicks where I eat healthy for like a week..or two. Ever watch Dr. Oz on Oprah? He has made me do the health nut thing on several occasions by freaking me out about what’s in food. Good luck!

I don’t cook either, thank goodness I married a man who loves too. I am sure you can find easy recipes online for healthy eating.

  9. Oh you poor thing. You don’t cook, and you can’t work a blender.

I think you’re gonna be hungry!

    But skinney!

  10. I am going to be so curious how this week goes for you! Good luck!

  11. I am a huge fan of the smoothie! I do soy milk and fruit smoothies all the time!

  12. Good luck to you! I don’t cook much either… and I’m not a healthy eater… so I suck at all that. lol But I’ll be looking forward to reading your progress!!

And it sucks that you can’t click on your own ads! They have some cool stuff about healthy food! 🙂

  13. Just stopping by for an evening click-a-thon. Whatever you are doing at my place is starting to show up — WOW! : )

And good luck with this … I know I could never do it!
