Last weekend, instead of bargain shopping for Christmas, I headed out to Salvation Army to search for the best 80’s outfit I could find. To celebrate the big 3-0, we’ve planned an 80’s Karaoke Party on Saturday. I may be the only one excited, but it’s my party and thats all that matters!
Anyway, what started as a trip to find the most ridiculous thing, quickly turned into a major shopping spree for my present day closet! Oh my word, let’s talk about a shopping high. I couldn’t even begin to believe the deals staring me in the face. First of all, as I walked in, a white board stood in the front saying every item of clothing was buy one get one free. This became quite useful to me as an hour later I had a shopping cart FULL of clothes. NAME BRAND CLOTHES! Brand new items with the original tags attached. I’m talking Bisou Bisou, Charles David, J Crew, Vintage Saks 5th Avenue…. Normally with name brands I can take them or leave them, but at a thift store? I’ll take them please.
I wish I could show you everything, but I seriously had a HUGE bag full of clothes. Instead, here are just a few pictures of some of the awesome deals I found:
For both these shirts, I spent $3. Looks super cute with jeans.
Cute little shirt to go over a cami, and adorable red pumps. Hush Puppies. Weird huh? I guess now that I’m 30, I can rock those babies. Anyway, what matters is they are cute, cheap, comfortable, and brand spanking new! Oh, and they were $5. Even better. Shirt was free.
Cute off the shoulder gray sweatshirt, $3. Patent Black Flats, $3.
Brown Skirt with Orange stitching. $5!
Okay, this is the vintage tunic from Saks Fifth Avenue. I was modeling it to send a picture to my sister. Tunic was free!
Now, this is the tunic with my new $25 jacket and $30 purse from TJ Maxx. A little birthday gift to myself.
Okay, I’ll show more finds another day….this is enough for today. But, I’ve decided that I need to go back once a week!
