Not only was my vacation good for my tan, but I think it was also good for my soul. Weird how Vegas can do that to a person.

I read a book. An entire book, and I completely loved it.

I was away from the computer. For three entire days I didn’t do a thing but print directions on how to get from Vegas to home. And I loved it.

I thought of my kids and my husband and my impending move, and I realized in being away from them, just how much I loved them.

I don’t really know what’s going to change, I just know there will be changes.

There is one thing though, that I do know about. And that is that this is the very last “official” Blogversations. It’s been fun. And I’ve been proud of those of you willing to step out of your comfort zone to show your face.

One thing about writing and entertaining…is that I want to keep it fun and something I look forward to doing. Somehow, knowing I have to do it once a week or even every other week has taken a bit of the fun and spontenaitity out of it. For me anyhow.

I am not saying, in any way, that blogging has killed the video star (Isn’t that how the song goes???). I will still, at times, be making and sharing my dorky videos, it’s just that I won’t be linking up and there won’t be any warnings as to when it’s coming!!!

I know, I’m crazy like that.

So anyway, I thought what better way to end Blogversations than to laugh? Ellen likes to dance. I like to laugh. And this video will make you do just that. Enjoy.

And by the way, Taylor had to change out of his shorts after this video. Laughing that hard makes the kid pee. Now, how funny is that???

So, I know, I teased you all a little and said I was going to be doing another giveaway. And I am.

This time it truly is a gift from my own pocket just for you dear readers. And if you knew how much I despise going to the post office, this gift would mean even more to you.

So, it’s a care package. A care package with two items from the Origins skin care line, Victorias Secret lip gloss, Forever 21 jewelry, Nubar Nail Polish (review on this to come!), an adorable Mark headband and much much more. I say much much more because I still have a few things left to purchase, which I’ll announce as soon as I get them.

it’s kind of like holy water

Many of you know, I’m a lover and a giver. Especially when it comes to Formula. And in making Chloe her drinkie drink, I try to mix the potent powder with only the best water I can find. I’ve recently been using the PUR Water filter, and have been blissfully happy with it.

Until Mom Fuse brought Zero water into my life.

Though it’s a bit more ($39.99 for the pitcher and one filter) than the cost of the Brita or the Pur (Each around $25), for me, for my Chloe, it’s definitely worth it.

Why am I so hooked?

Well first of all, it tastes so clean and so crisp and so…healthy. I think it’s as close to Holy Water that you can find. But, what really sold me was the TDS Meter (total dissolved solids) that came along with the purifier. This meter shows the amount of dissolved substances in parts per million in the water we drink.

Zero is completely pure. 500 is the maximum that FDA approves.

My husband and I set out to experiment. Tap water? 655! Ew!

Our Pur Water? 349…

Our Zero water? Um, zero. Ya, awesome.

Really, that was all I needed.

Now being the researcher I am, I have been online reading other reviews as well. Some absolutely love it, some are put off by the price, and then there are some that complain about a funky mildew odor after some extended time of use.

So far, I haven’t had any issues. Although in this economy, I know cost can definitely be an issue. And if you don’t mind solids in your water, then pay less and drink away.

***Okay, so it’s been another month now, and now we get the whole funky mildew thing. The filter seems to last only two or three weeks, and then something sour happens. It’s yuk. But, on the happy side…at least for those two or three weeks you get utterly pure water. =)***

the shallow side & a giveaway?

It’s been an emotional writing (reading???) week. And all throughout, I’ve had so many non-emotional things to share.

Reality TV (is there any other?):

Like, The Bachelor.

I like the Interior Designer. She is so cute and totally non-drama.

The girl who looks like Sandra Bullock? Um, no thanks. How does she not know that the words “Control Freak” are never good to share when trying to woo a man?

And crazy “I know your birthday” girl, she is funny in a freaky way.

My husband decided the show wasn’t good for me when after it ended I turned to him and said, “If you were on this show and had 20 girls besides me to choose from, do you think you would still pick me?”

And then The City.

I have an on again/off again relationship with Jay.

Adam, guilty. So totally guilty. Men like that suck, and my heart breaks for girls who wind up with them.

Real Housewives of the O.C.?

I think I have an ugly disgusted look on my face the entire hour I am watching the show. But, I just can’t seem to pull away. They are horribly mean and stuck up, and I feel bad for Leanne. And a little bit even for Gretchen. Jeana is just sad, sad, sad. Her life is a mess and she needs to get a backbone. As for Vickie and Tamra, they are simply evil and awful. Ick, ick. Thinking of them just made me throw up a little in mouth.

Reviews:

I’m trying out some new skin care/hair care products. Once I decide I like them, I’ll be sure to give my reviews.

Dog Stuff:

I also have to share that I had a couple bonding moments with Bradley. My needy dog. I think I semi like him now. And he’s definitely not up for the giveaway anymore. The first awesome thing he did was protect my baby from someone he thought was trying to take her. Now, that person was me, and I was just trying to get her out of the carseat…but he didn’t know that at first. He caught me out of the corner of his eye and he immediately growled and came running. He stopped when he realized it was me. I almost cried. It was a moment.

Then this morning Taylor called me out to the backyard to see something cool. That something cool had flies swarming it and a long icky tail. I’m assuming at one point it was a rat. And I am almost sure our Bradley killed it. I am so proud.

He is the king of the world, and he just earned his keep in our house. Anyway, I figure his neediness will be worth something when my kids are grown and gone and I have empty nest syndrome. Because, lucky me, choose to adopt a breed that outlives his owners.

Okay, so my sister Malia is coming this weekend so I’m taking a writing break. But, I will be back on Sunday with the details of the giveaway. Remember it’s a thank you gift for being a follower, so make sure you are. 😉
