apple pie detox smoothie your taste buds (and metabolism) will love

apple pie drink ,/p>

A few months ago my Aunt texted me the most delicious detox smoothie recipe using Apple Cider Vinegar, and I have seriously been hooked ever since. Not only does it literally taste like apple pie, but it has the added benefits of detoxing and fat burning as well! I have been trying for nearly a year to find ways to incorporate Apple Cider Vinegar into my daily routine, but was having trouble making it stick due to the strong taste, and now…it’s a habit I don’t ever wanna break.

Real quick, let’s go over some of the benefits that Apple Cider Vinegar brings to your life, so you’ll be just as convinced as I am to make it your new BFF.

~ Helps to detox your liver

~ Aids in weight loss, increases metabolism & can help to reduce hunger and cravings

~ Has the ability to lower blood pressure & cholesterol

~ Can control blood sugar levels

~ Works to keep your complexion clear

…and so much more, as any quick google search will show you.

The Apple Pie Detox Recipe:

2 tablespoons Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother)
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 apple (sometimes I use a whole apple if I’m hungry)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (which also helps with blood sugar & cholesterol)
10 drops of vanilla stevia (regular stevia works as well)

Blend it up in your favorite blender (hello Vitamix, I love you!), and enjoy!
*To keep the cinnamon from settling, be sure to swirl the drink every little bit to keep it mixed in with every sip.

(For best metabolism results, drink in the mornings or before meals.)

You guys will be amazed at how delicious this actually tastes… says the pickiest eater alive. And when you try it, come back and let me know how you loved it AND if you’ve noticed any benefits from incorporating it into your diet! I love hearing this stuff!

xo

p.s. ~ Apple Cider Vinegar is also amazing for your skin when applied topically. I mix it in with my Aztec Healing Clay and oh. ma. word…I swear I lose 5 years each time…. (says the middle over dramatic child…)

  5. What do you mean with the mother?

    • summersaldana@gmail.com says:

It’s how its made…look for that wording on the label. =)

    • When you are speaking of the Apple Cider Vinegar, the “Mother” is referring to the live bacteria that is in it that helps with digestion and things of that nature. Basically just a live bacteria that’s good for you.

    • Denise Rosser says:

It’s very important that you buy “Braggs” brand (ACV) apple cider vinegar……the “mother” is the actual raw product that benefits our body’s needs and keep us more balanced….alkaline not acidic….hope that helps. Not in most markets but will be at Whole Foods or health food stores ♡

  6. I’m going to make this today! Sounds yummy!!

  7. I just made this and it is AWESOME!! I used a honey crisp, because well…they are also awesome. Thanks for the idea!!

  8. Hi! I found this on Pinterest, and thought it might be worth trying.
I try to drink ACV regularly, but can never get over the taste. But I made this drink this morning, and am sipping on it as I type, and can’t stop drinking it!! I didn’t add any extra sweetener, I intended to use honey, but forgot it. Even without the honey, it still tastes amazing!!!
Thank you so much for this! I now can ENJOY my daily dose of ACV!

  9. WOW! I’ve been looking for a way to take ACV everyday for my ovarian cysts…and I just couldn’t stomach ANY of it, although, I can tell it is helping. Came across this recipe today and decided to give it a shot… it is DELICIOUS! I did one tablespoon of ACV because of my bad experiences with the taste. But I will gradually increase it to 2 tablespoons. THANK YOU!

  10. Sounds good! Can I use honey instead of stevia?

  11. Do you drink it daily once twice how many times anxious to try wanna flush out system

  12. this tastes amazing. It really does taste like apple pie!! So perfect! Making this my new detox diet drink!

  13. I am so very curious as to why this way makes it tastes so much better. (I haven’t tired your recipe yet.) I used to mix 1 tablespoon ACV in a 2 cup glass, and diluted it with apple juice and a pinch of cinnamon. It was okay to drink, just the taste of the ACV was so strong even when it was diluted. Maybe the apple is what takes the cake? I still can’t wait to try it your way!

  14. I tried and it was good. A lot better than I expected but I think I should use cold water next time

  15. Is it okay to just use a regular blender? Not one of the fancy ones!! Lol

  16. I have tried this and it tastes AMAZING! I used a lot of ice and made it frothy. I have the Healthmaster Blender and I put the entire apple in. It keeps me full a long time too!!!

  17. I’m going to use honey instead if Stevia.

  18. I’ve never had apple cider vinegar before but since I’m detoxing thought I’d try it. I only used 1 tablespoon (since it’s my first time) with a splash of lemon and a dash of honey and it’s pretty good. Maybe next time I’ll do 2 tablespoons of ACV. Thanks for the recipe!

  19. Its pretty good

  20. Thank so much, it tastes great. Had been adding my ACV in grape juice to help with taste. This works so much better….

  21. Sylvia A says:

Was I suppose to peel the apple?Only because it seems to be gritty. I blended mine in my nutribullet.

  22. Lisa Wolfe says:

Drinking it now! I hope it works as a good liver detox and lowers my cholesterol and triglycerides along with my trusty treadmill.

    Pretty tasty!

  23. I just tried this and its amazingly good. I will add this to my diet everyday. Thank-you for the recipe. I will let you know my results after a few months.

  24. I’m hooked on it. I”e drank it the last rwo days and have lost 4 lbs. I aalo gave it to my aunt and she told me today she loves it.. tthnk you so much for sharing!

  25. Could you use organic applesauce if you don’t have a blender?
