what i’m wearing:
leopard dress/tunic: f21, found at a random thrift store in L.A. a few weeks ago $7
black dress (wearing underneath the leopard dress): , salvation army $3
leather jacket: {you should know this by now, because I wear it all the time.  here, here, and here, and more places than that.} apple bottom jeans, platos closet, $12
leggings: tj maxx, $8
boots: f21, super vintage….and I’m sad because the heel is wearing down.  It may be time to find a replacement.  sadness.
flower ring: platos closet, $3
necklace: so old, I have NO idea where it’s from, but i can guarantee it was cheap.  of course.
purse: mossimo, found at a garage sale for $1

~~~~~~~
First of all, I just have to say that I love when Chloe sees what I’m wearing and then asks if she can wear it too.
Then she’ll say, “I need makeup too!”
And I tell her she’s beautiful without it….but really I swoon inside…
Because, secretly, I hope and pray she always thinks I look cool enough to want to copy me.
~~~~~~~

And because the Sunday before, people balked at the tiger leggings I wore…I decided the following week deserved some nice and loud leopard print.

What can I say, I’m a rebel.

I say (or sing), “Let’s give them something to talk about….”

Right?

In other news….

I’ve been kind of hooked on YouTube tutorials and makeup/skincare review channels.
Which in turn has caused me to feel like I NEED lots and lots of makeup and skincare.
Which in turn THEN caused me to spend hours at different drugstores (with chloe, cause she loves it too) this last weekend buying lots and lots of makeup and skincare.

And I accidentally just happened upon a few more videos which created another list…
which means tomorrow I have to go back for more.

These are the things we as stay at home moms look forward to.
Plus, it’s TOTALLY helping my PMS.
And right now, it’s all about survival.

In fact, maybe I’ll do a haul/review video of everything, because I think I found some winners!!!
Because since starting the Mommalogues, I haven’t filmed any of my OWN videos.
I think it’s time, I kind of miss my YouTube Channel.
{so, if you have any other ideas of videos you want me to do, let me know!}

Enough about me.
What were you guys up to this long holiday weekend?
Dish the dirt.

    Great look Summer! I find that I go through phases where I buy loads of skincare products and new make-up. I completely overhaul my beauty regime once every six months or so (and my hair regime at least every couple of months). I am currently loving everything Mint and am sporting some Mint Green nails at the moment … I’m a PA who types ALL DAY LONG so bright nail polish bmakes my day just a little bit more exciting:)

  2. Cute – I especially like the mom & daughter matching going on.  Too sweet that she wants to be like you.

  3. Oooh, I just got some awesome nail polish too. Have you tried the Revlon ColorStay nail polish yet?

  4. Hello Ms. Summer! I am LOVING the animal print (and lil mama looks too cute in her animal print too!!)
    I am currently on the hunt (well, actually to be honest a bit obsessed at the moment) for a “cheap” pink lipgloss. Not too pink, just a hint of bubble gum, baby pink color. Any suggestions?

  5. Jenna,

    I haven’t tried it yet…but I heard Elf Hypershine lip gloss in fairy. I want to go get it today. =)

    Oh, I do love your boots also!!! Super cute. I bought a pair of boots, still have them and never wore them. Sad! I think once I bought them, I realized the heel was too high and now I’m letting them go to waste. Maybe I should sell them, hm?

  7. definitely put them on ebay! i have a pair with heels too…but i just love that these are flat and cute and comfy and they were CHEAP!!!

  8. Rawr, mamasita! I love love love how chic you are on the cheap. It’s an inspiration to me, really and truly. And I love your mini 😉
    xoxo J

  9. I wore the heel off my brown leather boots, so I took them to a small shoe repair place. They put new heels and polished up the boots, all for $18. Bargain for me, because the boots were worth saving and I wear them a lot. The new heels are by goodyear, which makes me laugh every time I see it.

  10. Thanks so much for the tip I am so on my way to Walgreens right now!! I will keep you posted 🙂

  11. I die for three things:The leopard print(Chloe looks so cute!!!);the gold hardware on your jacket(having a leather moment often with my find from tilly’s last year), and the equestrian style boots. There is something so luxe about tall flat boots-I love them too. I have a brown pair of steve maddens that I bought a couple years ago and they sat in my closet until I discovered those gel dr scholl insoles(those insoles,I love them so. much.). I put them in the boots and now they are comfy to wear all day. And they were cheap too(xmas sale). I am obsessed with these sneakers which are a price I can’t even type…I found some similar ones in gray for $25,which I can live with. Now I’m on the hunt for the leather look leggings. If anyone knows of a pair under $50 let me know-I had no luck at F21. I attached pictures of Miranda Kerr wearing the pricey sneaks I was obsessing over and the ones I scored. I love the leggings with the sneakers. Also I love your hair-the added blonde,its really warm:)

  12.  Okay, how FUN are those sneakers???  And yes, I am also needing a pair of those leggings.  My friend in Colorado found a pair at a thrift store and they look adorable on her.  Been wanting ever since….we’ll both be on the lookout.

  13.  Did you find it?  My target was out. =(
