Moving from a house to an apartment has been interesting and challenging, but I can say we’ve settled in pretty nicely, given it’s only been barely two months.
While I still feel as though I have a ton left to do in order to complete my ideal design decor, here are just a few pictures to show what has been done.

I got the tile idea from Design Sponge, and then did my own take on it. I actually took frames and wrapping paper from Ikea, and wa la, instant tiles.
Now here’s what I’m working on next, (and ideas are more than welcome!!!):
I need to find something to do with the long wall next to Jimmy’s side of the bed:
And then I need to finish up the area at the foot of my bed where the tv and chair are:
I’m also attempting to put the finishing touches on the playroom and living room as well, but those pictures will be another post another time.

I think the decor updates are wonderful. If I even had the slightest bit of creativity I would have done some things to our old apartment. All of our homes had the generic move in color. I never did anything. We are in our 4th house and the builder did all the painting. I am very grateful b/c it would still be bare walls. I would like to do a tile deal for a backsplash. I look forward to participating in Fashion Friday. I took some time off for vacation and was in nothing but sweats or a swimsuit. Take care.

Oh my gosh! I have 3 of those bird prints from Etsy!!! I am obsessed with birds and ordered them a month or so ago. I just bought frames for them and have been trying to decide how to hang them…as a trio on one wall, or broken up. That’s crazy, I clicked on your blog this morning and there they were! For your room…I’d go with a collage of black and white pictures in black frames hung in a huge grouping. It would go awesome with your stark black and white decor. Nice job on the place, it looks awesome.
